This site (www.reubenadnmissie.com) was designed by our brother Greg as a wedding gift as we prepared to begin the incredible journey of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail.

We got our trail names shortly after beginning the trail in Maine. Missie had previously done some hiking on the AT independently and had earned the trail name Sola, as she was a solo female, I am sure she can explain the language much better than I, but I think you get the picture. We also decided to carry some solar panels to charge our batteries, so I thought Solar would be a very fitting name. It didn’t take long for Missie to come up with the name of Lunar for me as I am quite complementary to her and have an affinity for the moon. Then we decided to see if (www.solarandlunar.com) was available and it was.

We have set this in place so we can communicate with family and loved ones, Our hope is that the blog can act as a forum for discussion, sharing, updates, and communication.
